On the PS5 not only does the album covers not even show up about 80% of all the music doesn't even show as well as the playlists. It even shows the album covers and all song information (song, artist, album) when a song pops up and it's fantastic. Even the mp3u8 files I created to listen to playlist through the USB Music Player. I was surprised there was no DLNA support out of the box. It's an amazing service for streaming inside and outside of the house.

That being said, you can just set up a Plex server for free on your computer and use the Plex app on the PS.
And I use a USB on my PS4 to listen to music and it plays all my music. I would be shocked if PS5 didn't support DLNA. I just acquired a PS5 after months of stock alerts and fighting bots. So why should you listen to ads or pay to not listen to ads to listen to music you already bought before?
I like probably many others have bought a lot of music over the years on like iTunes or ported from CDs purchased in stores back in the day and are reluctant to rely on music apps like Spotify or Apple Music because you already paid for the music. So this post is over a year old but I would like to keep this alive cause I don't see anywhere this being said but right now PS5's ability to play music right now from the USB is pretty terrible.
